MHDG’s Dr. Chapman Partners With Jazz Harpist Jeff Majors On Opioid Healing Concert

At 7 PM on March 21 the first concert of the 2019 Healing Concert Series will take place at 14th and V Street NW in Washington, DC.

Hosted by well-known inspirational jazz harpist JeffMajors to raise awareness about the growing opioid crisis and supported by Network of Doves, a nonprofit using music and art to deliver therapy and healing, and media sponsor WPFW, the concert is open to all.

Practitioners from the recovery industry, including Dr. Chapman, will join JeffMajors to share how they see the collaborative connection of music with medical and cognitive therapy, and the public is invited to join the recovery community at the concert.

Dr. Chapman recorded a video (below) for JeffMoore to share how he became involved in the fight against the opioid crisis. “Now we need a holistic approach to medicine and healthcare,” he said. “We’re all healers. We need to bring each person in [from the community] and make them a healer, and show them that they have a healing hand too.”
